COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Precautions

March 23, 2020:

In addition to the below precautions, we are also cancelling all routine appointments.

The necessity of a non-routine appointment will be made on a case-by-case basis and will include emergency hearing tests as ordered by a physician and appointments to address non-functioning or limit-functioning hearing aids. In the case of a patient waiting for new hearing aids, they will be dispensed if the patient does not currently have functioning and adequate hearing aids.

We will have limited phone coverage during this time as well. Phone coverage will be limited to 2 to 3 hours a day, Monday through Friday. If you call and we do not answer the phone, please leave a message and we will call you back on the next day.

We will be updating these policies on a daily basis if necessary, and are following the guidelines established by State of New Jersey and the local Hillsborough government.

All cancelled and postponed appointments will be rescheduled in an order consistent to how they were previously scheduled.

Again, thank you for your cooperation.

March 16, 2020:

We want to assure all of our patients that we are taking actions to minimize the risk of spreading the Coronavirus within our offices. Please understand we are doing everything we can to keep our patients safe while minimizing any inconveniences and any disruption in the services we provide.

Until further notice, the following procedures have been implemented at both of our locations:

WAITING ROOM:

• We will schedule appointments in such a way as to minimize exposure to other patients while in the waiting room.
• Between each patient, all horizontal surfaces, including chair handrails and doorknobs, will be disinfected.
• All magazines, brochures, and books have been temporarily removed.
• All children’s toys have been temporarily removed.
• If you prefer, you may wait outside of the office or in your car. Please provide Michele with a cell phone number so she can call you when it is time for your appointment.

PROCEDURE ROOMS:

• Between each patient, all horizontal surfaces, including chair handrails and doorknobs, will be disinfected.
• All test equipment and non-single-use testing supplies that can come into contact with patients will be disinfected.

WHAT CAN YOU DO:

• Please wash your hands frequently. We have sinks at both offices available for use.
• Please postpone your appointment with us if you are sick.
• Please share with us any of your concerns.

Thank you.
